A global government

What is currently missing from the present UN organization in order to become a global government? Three aspects: an international legislative body, a global court, and a world’s authority capable of implementing the issued judgments. These three issues are not absolutely absent today, for we have the nuclear bodies. On the place of the international legislation body, we have the International Law, which stands on approved traditions and conventional treaties. However, these are still at primary stages tracing sources of social sciences and laws foundations of individual states. Instead of a global court, we have the International Court of Justice in The Hague, which is a referee institution with no enforcement powers for its decisions. As to the world unified authority, we now have the individual countries’ regimes; each preserves its sovereignty within its borders and executes the UN treaties concerning economic and military actions against law violators.

No doubt, all UN institutions are at comparatively primitive stages; between them and perfection is what is between the individual present states and the global government. There are numerous wide steps waiting. If humanity is to proceed at its normal path, then it is expected to witness long lasting conflicts, famines, bloody wars, as well as witness miseries of corruption. There is no honorable duty for pioneer leaders, as far as I can foresee, more than working to shorten these long strides in the most easy and quick process. It is not possible for such an advancement to be simple and fast, unless if it is guided by a courageous and enlightened mind.

There is a great need for an international legislative body to establish the laws that regulate and monitor the relationships among nations. At the same time the corporation supervises local legislative institutions in different states so that it would not contradict with the international law (i.e., the global constitution). Hence, such international corporation bridges the multi-level laws of different states and coordinates them together in one unified system.

Then, there must be a global court to process international cases and issue judgments that are respected and justified. At last, a world unified authority to execute the rules is indispensable. It arises from merging the individual states into a form of unity that takes from the sovereignty of single states what would reduce current boundary authorities and wipes away custom and duty barriers. The global authority transforms states into local administrations whose authorities would not be more than coordinating the efforts of local groups in the one state towards a homogeneous totality and a unified goal that in itself is the same for all humanity in the planet.

Mentioning the term world constitution, while it has no existence in reality raises the question: what is it? There can be no one world constitution unless if it is built upon fundamentals shared by all nations and all generations. These are the persistent built-in elements in the human nature just because it is human. That nature is the juncture point for all human beings, regardless of their level of education and civilization. A law inhibited within this human nature governs it. That law is a replication of the eternal law that regulates all human phenomena and controls the raw force that fills the existence and leaves no vacant space. It is an equivalent photocopy of the eternal law but is reasonable, refined, and a humane copy that is intense with sensitivity tenderness and compassion.
