A letter to Dr. Torrez Bodet, UNESCO General Director

Liberation from fear

To liberate a human being is to free him/her from fear. We should correct that deformed and misleading image that was firmly imprinted in his/her mind about life. This may be done by focusing his conscious on the origins, essential laws, and goals of the material life that surrounds him/her. This is an absolute necessity, if we have to “prepare the free human being”. Neither the social development nor achieving the economic equity is possible without the proper educational approach that serves our purpose in correcting that mistaken image. That is because the economic equality is a means to create leisure time, which is useless without being carefully oriented with its inputs and outputs positively utilized. Leisure time is only useful for individuals free of fear; for others leisure time can be devastating.

The Qu’ran is for all

Where can we find the correct understanding for the origin of life and the real purpose of existence? That is what I am writing to you about. You must have heard about the Qu’ran and what is said that it is the book of Muslims. Well, this is not the full truth, for in reality the Holy Qu’ran is the book of all humanity. It is the story of life; it tells the story of the human self that is immortal in fundamental nature, shifting in various forms at different times in diverse places. No time has passed where it is not at some place striving to be eternal in form as it is eternal in essence.

This long story is my story, your story, and the story of every human being, but we have all forgotten it, letting it to precipitate in the subconscious mind. Thereafter, a thick layer of illusions and fears, which we have inherited from times of ignorance and superstitions, covered it. The only way to happiness is to break this thick layer that has been thoroughly woven and artistically tailored by worries, myths, and delusions. This layer has prevented the real images of the subconscious mind to be reflected onto the surface of the conscious thinking and thus clarify the absolute truth; the reality of realities that is sheltered by layers of lights.

This long story that has been initiated in the subconscious mind is made up of the same material that composes the dreams. From the same material the Holy Qu’ran is formed to remind us of the wonderful story that pictures a full cycle of existence. Whoever remembers it will reveal the knowledge beyond ignorance and will live forever beyond no constraints. The purpose of education is a reminder of this story. Therefore, the education, in its actual reality, is an individual effort carried out by any man or woman in an attempt to release the natural gifts (the mind and heart) from the delusions that separate him/her from the happy life the life of thinking, and the life of feeling. The government role may not exceed organizing the outside life in a form that enables the individual, man or woman, to face only the smallest number of obstacles and finds the most encouragement in order to attain freedom (freedom of the mind, and freedom of the heart).

If that is true, then we have reached a reasonable perception of the world constitution, which coordinates between the need of an individual to experience absolute personal freedom within the need of the community to maintain comprehensive social justice. The individual is the orbit of existence, and everything is made up for him including the social system. Therefore, his freedom may be affected only to the extent necessary to preserve order. By these thought I would like to introduce to you and to the entire human race, and inform you about, “the Book,” the book of eternity The Holy Qu’ran.
